We flew through China from Moscow in June with a transfer of 12 hours, we didn't ask for anything. But at the airport they met people from St. Petersburg, they filled out something.

I'm also going through China, tests are not needed, and the health code is mandatory. It is done one day before departure, it is possible at the check-in counter.
