Is the sea cleaner on Koh Phangan than on Koh Samui? Which part of the beach is better?

On Koh Phangan in the summer, choose the eastern beaches, in the west the tides are very shallow - you won't be able to swim normally. Except that the beach of Sritanu is not sure. Good beaches are Tong Nai Pan Noi, Haad Sadet, Haad Rin - when there is no fool moon party.

I can't say objectively about the sea, tk. was only on two beaches... I didn't like it. And the local service didn't seem very good.
