No, insurance is not needed for entry, they cannot ask for it at the entrance. It probably was in covid. But insurance will come in handy, if something happens, then medicine is expensive.

I haven't heard anyone ask for insurance. But if you start swearing, they may ask. First of all, you need insurance.

No, they don't require insurance. But it's better to do it - for yourself. Medicine in Thailand is great, but expensive.
