If you rode a boat on the canals in Bangkok, does it make sense to ride on the big river? Is it a different experience? If there is, can I buy a ticket at any pier?

It is possible as a transport to get to Wat Aruna or to Bang Krachao, use it, at the same time and see)

I'll say my IMHO ....... I've walked along many canals and to be honest, I don't know what to look at there. Khaki water.. The smell is also questionable. I'd rather go hiking or bike.
