Did anyone take a bus from the bus station to Bangkok? How does this even happen? Do I need to buy a ticket in advance? Are there any problems with that?

I flew out on April 18, bought it in advance for the day, arrived without problems in less than 2 hours, spacious, air conditioning, suitcase in luggage surcharge 20 baht.

If you mean the bus to the airport, it often happened that there were no tickets for the next flight, but this happened in high season.
