Tell me, can Azur bring fruit from Thailand to Moscow in a basket? If so, should I check in my luggage or hand luggage?

Only yesterday we were flying, everyone was forced to take fruit out of the baskets and shift it, one man was let through, but the Thai woman pulled him from the queue right in front of the plane and also stopped him. We didn't have an advantage in the suitcase and everyone had almost the norm, but hand luggage, two backpacks, bags, bags. I was worried, but everything is ok.
