[Phuket] If you buy a Dyson in Phuket - an upright vacuum cleaner and take it out in a suitcase, preliminarily, of course, taking it out of the box, for a VAT refund in this form will be accepted at the airport? Or does it have to be in the box? - Thailand

We bought it and took it out right in the box as a piece of luggage. On one rack, they looked doubtful due to the fact that there was a battery. But at another counter, they printed out a label and sent it to check in as oversized luggage. The fragile sticker was not pasted as they were out of stock. Flew in excellent condition. We flew by Aeroflot. The stamp on VAT refund was put without looking at all.

For a tax refund, it must be new and packed, since you can only get a tax refund for a new thing. We store both labels and boxes ourselves.
