Koh Samui is made up of beaches, it's an island. Actually, all areas of residence are named after the beaches. The most developed and popular Chaweng, we live next to it. Excellent beach, clean, although the last two days the waves have caused all sorts of twigs and algae. But in our opinion, it's still nice. Another beach is Lamai, where it is cheaper and near the night market, but the sand is coarse and often dirty. There is also Maenam and Bo Phut, there is a nearby Fish Village and the beach also write that it is good. In general, for me, the main criteria were reviews on the beach and the presence of a supermarket nearby (because on remote beaches it is not at all). For the first trip and acquaintance with Koh Samui, we chose Chaweng definitely, simply because there is the most infrastructure and attractions nearby. Well, the sea of all sorts of smaller and wild beaches.
