In general, you don't need to swim well in diving, but when training at ATS, there is a test - to swim back and forth 100 meters. About whether it is worth it or not, no one will decide except you. I can recommend acdc diving. We really liked it, we swam with them for 4 days, the equipment is good, the instructors are adequate, everyone speaks Russian.

I swim extremely slowly, but I stay on the water, I really liked diving. In principle, with the help of equipment, they will not allow you to drown, it is easier to move with flippers than without them, and the instructor helped if something happened. We dived to Racha Yai, there were fish, and some interesting things at the bottom (such as a sunken motorcycle) ... In general, I liked it so much that after that we also studied for the initial certificate.
