Probably, if in the original packaging, then it is better to worry not for physical safety, but for not stealing. I would wear my hand luggage. A box in your luggage.

Wrap it in a pimple, and if possible, strengthen the suitcase from the inside with some kind of plywood longitudinally or foam powder (it's even better for them), well, protect it from moisture and you will be happy)
