Tourist visas to Thailand should be done in the country of departure? If I change to a student visa later, do I have to do a border?

I arrived on March 9, stamped for 45 days, on the 12th-13th I applied for a student visa, it seems pretty quickly. There, you first need to wait for confirmation of the opening-approval (I had to get it before April 3) and then another 2 weeks the passport will be in the immigration. So, if the confirmation was April 4+, then there would not be enough time, even taking into account the holidays, and I would have to leave. ~40 days was barely enough for me to go without leaving.

A tourist visa can be done in Russia, it is possible here, on the spot. A border in front of the student will have to be done if there is not enough time to open a student visa. It is done + - a month. And the permit to stay here (stamp / visa) must be active all the time. And if the school sees that there is not enough time, it sends them to border in neighboring countries. Therefore, the sooner you apply for a studio, the more chances you have not to leave the island to get an ED visa.
