Perhaps they meant to issue a visa on return to Thailand from Cambodia: if the Thai stamp is valid for more than 5 days at the time of departure to Cambodia, then you will simply be put a new stamp, but without extension (the old stamp remains valid); if the validity of the stamp comes to an end (less than 5 days left), then you will cancel the old one and make a new stamp with a new date - the price depends on this, each of these stamps is paid)).
