Please tell me more about booking on Booking, if a friend pays for the hotel for us with her foreign card, when checking in they will not require a card? Previously, they always asked for a passport and a card with which they booked.

Our sister in Malaysia booked a Turkish card. When booking, she put a mark that she was booking for another. We didn't ask for a map anywhere. In Tai I will not say, they paid at the place in cash (came to the address from booking,)
