What is the best route from Pattaya to Phi Phi Island? Are there a lot of tourists there? Like the beaches?

I was last week, the route was: Pattaya - Bangkok - Phuket - Phi Phi (excursion). But you can also fly to Krabi, and from there to Phi Phi. I was on a group tour, there were a lot of people, but I was leaving the hotel at 7-30. Other tourists did not bother me much, but if you do not want to see crowds of people, then take either an excursion with an early departure (at 5-6 in the morning from the hotel and preferably on a weekday, booked at least a week in advance, then everything will be occupied), or an individual excursion, or a boat for rent.
