Hello. Has anyone been to Khao Lak? How are the beaches there, what is the overall impression?

Khao Lak is a village along the road. Beaches are sand with stones in the sea. The food is better than in Phuket. This is my opinion, in Phuket, because of the farangs, the Thais stopped using chili, the dishes became bland. Seafood is more expensive. But if you need a relaxing holiday - the place is excellent. We usually spend a week in Khao Lak, two in Phuket.

The beaches are gorgeous, sparsely populated. After Khao Lak, Karon disappoints. There are few Russians in Khao Lak, mostly Europeans. The cost of hotels is lower than in Phuket, the cost in cafes is slightly higher. If you are looking for tranquility and beauty, then you are in Khao Lak.
