Has anyone recently applied for a Covid extension after living more than 90 days without a report? Nitpicking? Are they fined?

I recently did the 1st covid extension in Koh Phangan, being in Tai for 4 months, before that I extended in Phuket. He said that in Phuket they do not require you to submit a report for 90 days. The Immiglash of Koh Phangan said that for the first time they were forgiven. I didn't pay the fine.
