Air Astana required a return ticket and a reservation of accommodation for all days from the date of arrival to the date of departure when boarding. As I understand it, this is an infrequent case, but it happens. And it's harder with airlines, they can't put you in jail - don't do it, they've secured themselves. And there is no reason for the border guard not to miss you, if you behave adequately and tell as it is.
