Are there really huge queues for departure from Phuket airport now?

We recently flew in via Phuket. There were giant queues to pass the border. My guess is that now they will all fly back. It's better to play it safe than to be undercover.

And realistically, I was in front of the exit doors 15 minutes after entering the airport. I just don't know how long it takes for the registration to end....

1.5 hours per eye.. there are no queues at all.. flew 2 days ago. Everywhere there were 3-4 people in front.
