[Koh Phangan] has anyone issued a Thai bank card? Is it possible to do this on Phangan or do you need to go somewhere? And what is required for this? Do they open foreign currency accounts or only in baht? - Thailand

Hello! Up-to-date information on the registration of a Thai card for Russian citizens who entered on a 45-day visa-free. I received the card yesterday. The action plan is as follows: 1. You need to get a form 30 in the resort / hotel / villa, etc., where you will live / live. This form is done electronically (registration on spec. website), but you will need to print it out. 2. With this form, passport and photo 4 * 6, go to the immigration office to obtain a resident certificate. There is the first fork in the 3 ways: - you can swim to Koh Samui and get there for free (so they say) the next day after submitting the documents - you can swim to Koh Samui and get there on the day of treatment (it seems to cost 500 baht) - you can get on Phangan for 1500 baht (officially impossible) 3. After receiving the certificate, go to the Bangkok Bank office. And here, too, there is a fork for 2 options: - in the Phangan office, you will have to additionally purchase insurance for 5900 baht - in the office on Koh Samui near Naton Pier, insurance can be bought for 2500. Plus, you will have to pay 400 for the plastic itself and put 500 baht into the account (you can withdraw them back immediately after receiving the card). An unnamed card is issued immediately. If you need a personalized card (there is no special meaning in it, but if you really want to), then another 400 for an additional. plastic and 2 weeks of waiting. In total, for the wealthy and those who do not want to waste time, there is an option to do everything on Phangan by spending 7800 baht. If you want to spend at a minimum, and there is time, then the optimal option seems to be to ride one day on the Raja ferry along with a bike to Koh Samui and arrange everything there. Together with the ferry tickets, it will cost 3860 baht. The bill will be in Thai baht.
