It is a common practice in hotels that it is necessary to show the card with which the room was booked when checking in, and, accordingly, it should be in the name of the guest?

The card with which the hotel was booked is asked for a deposit, but we can say that we are ready to deposit cash.

It seems to me that the card is being asked for some kind of accounting of guests or relations with the booking system, but it is very unlikely that they will refuse to check in because of the card. They will ask for a passport and check the full name in the booking with the passport data and that's it. You won't stay on the street. For more peace of mind, take a picture of the map and show it on your phone.
