You can fly into Tai with air an unlimited number of times. The main thing is that there are exit tickets. They can be checked, and rather the airline that will bring you to Tai. Border guards don't care at all. You can do at least 2 border runs by bus, but magic border runners can carry you for at least a whole year, just at a slightly inflated fare. Another thing is independent borderlines across the land - here there are no guarantees at all.

As luck would have it, and depending on how much you go, we did a border with my wife to Malaysia (literally spent 1 night), we missed my wife back to tai, and I was delayed for a long time. until the border guard saw that his wife had already been let in, he didn't really want to let me through.
