Three days ago, a friend withdrew 30,000 baht from the Russian Agricultural Bank's SCB ATM from Unionpay - the rate came out at 2.0194255, although a month before that something about 1.72 came out.

They work. You can pay in supermarkets (except macro), you can also withdraw from ATMs.
