[Bangkok] We are planning to go to Bangkok for 3 weeks and are trying to determine the area for housing. Tell me, please, are there any recommendations for the districts? Is the cost of a taxi expensive? Now we are considering the Bang Kapi district, perhaps you can advise something. - Thailand

Look at the options near Chaosan, north of the canals. Between Dusit and Chaosan. There are many small streets, accessibility to the center is high, even by taxi. The main thing is to find a cozy place outside the noise of Chaosan, you can go there a couple of times. Or vice versa to the south of Khaosan, there are fewer options there, but the old Bangkok area is very cozy low-rise and not oppressive.

Bang Kapi area without transport, far from the center. If you get tired of driving, I definitely don't advise you to go on vacation.

If the cost of a taxi is important to you, choose accommodation near BTS or MRT metro stations. Lately I prefer to live in hotels in the Phaya Thai station area. This is practically the center of the city, there is an opportunity to find inexpensive, but good housing, and the Airport Link train is nearby (25 min and 45 baht to the airport).
