I will tell you about my impressions. We were at the Loi Krathong holiday for a honeymoon with my husband, we really liked it! Everything is so colorful and romantic. Moreover, they got to the holiday by chance when they were going there and did not know about it. We were in Bangkok for the first time and learned a lot of new things.

If you want to visit the most romantic holiday of this country, have fun with Thai music, find yourself at a real Thai fair, taste such dishes, which are prepared only on this day, then you should do it 100%! The only thing is, maybe Bangkok is not necessary, as the celebration will be bright in any Thai city, especially where there is a body of water. I, for example, was in Pattaya once for this celebration, and on the River Kwai the second time. In general, there are several holidays in Thailand that are worth visiting. Loi Kratong is one of them! This is like February 14 in our country - Valentine's Day. For this day Thais are preparing in advance, lovers weave little ships of banana leaves, decorate them with flowers - these ships are just called Kratong. During the holiday, the locals dress up smartly and go to the reservoir to launch these kratongs, thus asking the spirit of water, whether everything will be good in their relationship. Now imagine the scene: hundreds of lovers are on the shore of Tiao Phraya, girls in traditional silk clothes, orchids woven into their hair, men in cotton shirts, singing songs, and launching kratongi in the water, while simultaneously being launched into the sky sky sky rice lanterns - and all this at night. The scene is incredible: on the dark canvas you can no longer see where there is water and where there is sky, but the lanterns are lit everywhere - they are strewn across the dark space, and lovers are standing nearby, holding hands and rejoicing that the water spirit has blessed their relationship by accepting their gift. The feeling in that moment is the warmest! Yes, it's definitely worth seeing Loi Kratong at least once!

In my opinion, the Loy Kratong holiday deserves attention, it somehow reminded me of our celebration of Ivan Kupala, when wreaths are thrown into the water and guessing. In the same way, everything happens here colorfully, except this holiday is more ambitious.

Personally, I specially went for this holiday. I have been going to this country for a long time and have thoroughly studied all the sights of its capital, but first of all I wanted to get to Loi Kratong.
