Saw recommended many times Fat bike but never used them myself. And assess your driving experience because in BKK it is not in the provinces to ride. Sometimes it's better to pay a bike cab. Especially if you like to drink. I was a witness as a drunk biker trying to get away from a policeman on his bike. And the fines aren't cheap. Not to mention the fact that it's just not safe.
