If you are staying for a long time and need to transfer large amounts from Russia to Thai, it is more convenient/cheaper to open an account and a card in Bangkok Bank upon arrival (it will take 3 hours) and you can send a Swift transfer to USD from the same Tink on the same day. Take at least $100 with you in cash - for the first couple of days while you are waiting for the transfer.
