Guys, how comfortable is it to walk around Bangkok on foot? In terms of not renting transportation, and move on the subway and feet) at least in the central areas.

In the center it's more of a discomfort by car \taxi, because of the traffic) on foot - hot, yes, but in general it's comfortable to walk.

I can compare to the south - just got back from BKK yesterday. It's much cooler in Bangkok than in the south mainly due to the dense development - shade everywhere. So for southerners it's ok. Bikes are great (if you don't get in heavy traffic - it's too hot from the buses and the big machinery). But this is the skyscraper district, Sukhumvit. It's probably worse in the more open areas. It's better to avoid walking from 9 to 17.

The heat breaks off the whole thrill of hiking for me. Even if it's 5 minutes to the subway. I don't leave the condo without a bike. But riding a bike in the night / evening / morning Bangkok is a separate kind of pleasure. Such beauty, I want to cry already.

It's quite comfortable. It's certainly not the comfort level of a pedestrian environment like in Western or Northern Europe, but it's fine to move around. It's only hot during the day. If you make periodic pit stops" at 7-11 to cool down

It's quite comfortable, except for the heat.
