There was a flight Istanbul-Delhi-Mumbai-Phuket, turned around in Delhi for the lack of an ind. visa, the company indiGovt. and do not give your passport (if possible), so they took a type of we'll see what we can solve" and in practice were forced to take a ticket of the same company just to get out of there.

I flew Dubai-Mumbai-Bangkok by Indigo. Transit in Mumbai - 6 hours. In Dubai, I was asked everything: taypass (at that time was still needed), insurance (although without insurance taypass can not do), vaccination certificate my and my boyfriend's PCR, return tickets from Bangkok! No Indian visa needed, called the airline and they sent us a letter that either a certificate of vaccination or a PCR test was needed. But I got the impression that the guy behind the counter himself didn't quite understand what to ask.

I flew through Mumbai on different airlines. They asked for a visa at every checkpoint.
