We flew from Vietnam so there were separate fruit baskets in the luggage.

From my own experience, once they put a 20 kg basket with fruit in their luggage in Moscow, when they received it, they looked very frozen (I was flying in transit through Abu Dhabi), after that only in hand luggage, but here only 8-10 kg if without surcharges.
