Tell me if you are flying to Phuket on your own, do you need mandatory insurance? If yes, do minimal or extended - for bike, water sports, + alcohol? Or is it a waste of money?

There's health care here, it's awfully expensive without insurance - so it's up to you)

Mandatory is not needed, but think for yourself if you are going to fall on bikes, then it's better to do it) but it seems to work only if there are rights of the right category, if there are no rights and fell off the bike, then insurance will not help, at least in Saving the conditions are like this.
