Taxi in Phuket? The most adequate way in terms of legality and convenience is to download an application called Grab (Android / iOS), install and start using. Prices are about the same as those of taxi drivers on the streets and are shown before the trip. Payment by counter. You can also use the inDriver app, it also works well on the island - Android / iOS PS.
