[Phuket] Tell me, please, is there a bank in Phukta that opens an account for foreigners just with a passport? There is no Thai residence, no study/work visa either, and how much I will remain here is unclear. - Thailand

It seems that one person said that he opened an account in the yellow bank and even received a card. I needed a passport and some paper from the landlady. By searching try to find yesterday discussed this.

Bangkok opens. On the residence certificate and the absence of other grounds. But it forcibly imposes insurance. If you own a home or are going to buy and have a contract - then almost any will open.

Let's put it this way - you can try to do it. But which bank and in what division it will be opened to you is unknown. Everything is at the mercy of chance. So take your passport and go to bank branches and ask. You can walk around the same, but at different times.
