Depends where you rent. Privateers don't look at your rights at all. I took a rental office in a large office - I was asked to show international ones.

The book costs 1k like. But in the summer, Thailand ratified the convention, so our sample of 150% is quoted now. "BUT"!!! Local cops may not be aware of this. In general, cars are less likely to be much inspected, so I think that you are unlikely to get a fine.
