What do I need to open an account and card in a Thai bank? Do they have good mobile apps in English?

You can open a bank account and get a bank card without a Work Permit on a tourist visa at Kasikorn Bank. In other banks only with a work permit or student visa. In case of refusal, you can invite the manager and explain to him that you plan to keep money in the account, and that you need a card in order to make purchases. You can immediately show the money and deposit it into the account. The apps are there (I don't remember just who only has them in the Thai appstore, but the Thai account to download the app is not a problem).
