Works. And, for example, the AllAirlines Black Edition credit card as a bonus gives a free insurance policy with coverage of $ 100K for travelers for 5 family members (2 adults, the rest for children). Considering how much insurance for children costs separately, this is generally a mega savings. After the vacation, you can downgrade the card to the usual AllAirlines or close the contract altogether.
