Biometrics (i.e. passport for 10 years) is no longer done in Thailand. As in other countries. It seems like a temporary suspension, but there is nothing permanent than temporary. 5 years do from 3 months. Such standards of the FMS - if the passport is not made in the region of permanent registration - then it can be done for up to 3 months. Or rather there 3 months of checking.
