Tell me what to rent: a bike (but no category A license) or a car in Phuket? How often do cops stop?

If you ride a bike and put on a helmet, then most likely they will not stop. On the car, if they stop, then the documents are not checked, the car is checked for the presence of prohibited substances and alcohol intoxication. The rights have never been asked during the stay on Thailand.
