What is the best way to get from Koh Samui to Pattaya and back somehow? The plane goes back and forth 22k, I think this is not the normal price.

A week ago we traveled in the opposite direction from Pattaya to Koh Samui. Bus + ferry. Yellow bus. The cost to Donsak Pier, or in the opposite direction - from Donsak Pier to the bus station in Pattaya is 900 baht. The bus runs 3 times a day. In the morning, afternoon and evening. The journey time is 14 hours. It is better to go at night. Plus the ferry from Koh Samui to Donsak - they go often. Once an hour during the daytime. 1.5 hours travel time. The cost is something like 150 baht.

The ferry runs once a week like: from February 16, the Sattahip-Koh Samui ferry line starts operating with a frequency of one flight per week. Sattahip Port is located 30 km from Pattaya, close to the local airport Utapao. Tourists can take a taxi to the pier or order an individual transfer. Seahorse Ferry has announced ticket sales and schedules for February-March. Departure to Koh Samui – on Thursdays at 17:00, back – on Sundays at 16:00. Travel time is 15-17 hours and depends on weather conditions in the Gulf of Thailand.

Or to Surratkhani by bus, with Surratkhani by plane. Low-cost airlines are cheaper.
