How is it more profitable to change the currency. Rubles to baht in Phuket or rubles to yuan and then to baht on the island?

Nobody needs cash rubles here. If it is possible to bring dollars or euros, this is the best option. As for the yuan: calculate how much you will buy them in the Russian Federation and how much you will change in Thailand (you can look at the exchange rate online in the valueplus exchanger) and compare it with the exchange rate of money changers who exchange rubles for cash baht here.
