Which side of living in Phuket to consider in August, given that there is no possibility of renting transport? And in order to get to popular places more conveniently, and at least a chance to swim on the beaches, where the waves are a little lower, for the first time I plan to go there?

You don't have to rent a vehicle, you can go around the whole island by bus. But for some reason it's unpopular to talk about the bus.

By removing transport, you completely deprive yourself of the possibility of normal rest in the off-season. You will have to choose between infrastructure and the sea.
