Rubles are not needed at all. Stud. The visa is about 47 thousand baht per year. A more or less decent studio in Pattaya can be rented from 5000-6000 baht per month, plus a communal apartment. Meals from 300 baht per day, including fruits and juices. Plus minor expenses. I think for a more or less comfortable life comes out 25,000 baht minimum, if you do not spend on alcohol and entertainment.
