There is also a koh lan island near Pattaya, buses from ekkamai bus terminal, you can buy a ticket as you arrive at the station, the price of the issue is 130 baht, go 2-3 hours to Pattaya and then 30-40 minutes by ferry, both are quite cheap, but keep in mind that ferries with sunset + stop moving.

Koh Chang, it's about 5-6 hours to go. One of the largest islands of Tai. I rested there 2 times, I really like the place.
