How is it in Pattaya in general? Much worse than Phuket? Or norms? I was neither. I want to save money, but do not regret the choice of the resort. Please share your reasoned opinion.

If you wish, you can get around Pattaya on foot. There are long distances in Phuket, in addition to the beach, if you want to go somewhere, you need to use a taxi. There will be very little within walking distance. Nice beach and sea area of Wangamat. Clear water is Koh Lan, drove to the pier, boarded a local ship 40 baht and that's it. You can go to Bangkok, one excursion is enough, then you can take the bus yourself.
