[Phuket] I'm planning a vacation in late June - early July. I read that in Phuket there are only rains during this period - is that so? I consider the west coast, where the hotels are Movinpick, Dusit, etc. Is that true? Is it out of season at all? Can I swim? - Thailand

We also wanted to go to Phuket in July to the last, but everyone dissuaded us in favor of Koh Samui.

In principle, yes, it's off-season. Koh Samui will be better.

The other day we came back, we lived just on Bang Tao in the lagoon. There are waves, you can swim (jump on them). But there were days when strong waves knocked you down, and it was scary to go in. It used to be normal. Also on some days there was a lot of garbage, floating bags and all sorts of nonsense and jellyfish To swim in peace, this pool was.
