Kuala Lumpur can be combined with a trip to Genting Highlands, even stay there overnight, you can go to Malacca again from Kuala Lumpur. If your budget allows, then Bangkok - Singapore - Kuala Lumpur - Bangkok. You can fly to Hong Kong. If you want, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi to Vietnam.
