Can anyone tell me how border runs are done in Cambodia? What about time and spending? What is the best way to proceed?

They pick you up in Pattaya at 5 am and go in a mini-bus to the border with Cambodia, sleeping. A couple of times they stop at the toilet / shop / gas station. They bring it, you go in an organized way to leave Thailand, and then they take away your passports and take them away to put a visa to Cambodia. In fact, you don't even go into Cambodia itself)) Everyone will put all the stamps there and go back to Thailand. Sometimes they are fed lunch (included in the price). At the border, you can buy inexpensive cigarettes (no more than 1 block for import). Return to Pattaya at about 3 p.m.
