I ordered a unionpay debit card from Gazprombank in the Russian Federation for 5tr in order to use it in Thailand. There is only the option of currency unionpay in yuan.

I made out a ruble. As they explained to me in a bank abroad with a ruble card, there will be a conversion immediately into yuan, then into baht. In the Russian Federation, if it is issued in yuan, it will not be very profitable to use it, since there will be a double conversion. The exchange rate when paying with a ruble card was 2.5. There was no commission.

I use this card myself, but only for payment. Some have a commission of 3 percent. In big stores or 7 elevan there is no commission.
