In order to get a tax vri or wat refund, you had to ask the stores to fill out the form (on yellow forms), only on this form you can get a tax refund at the airport. Without this form, checks are not grounds for tax. And yet, in many stores, upon presentation of a passport, there is an additional tourist discount, which is 10-15% (in different stores in different ways) and is provided regardless of the tax free. You can get a discount and there to issue a form for receiving tax at the airport.
