I've entered Tai 12 times or more... once asked for a return ticket. Reservation at the hotel never. But the legal rules on the tour visa state that these conditions are mandatory. It's up to you. You can buy a return ticket (to return the money) and book an apartment on booking without payment, and then cancel the reservation. But I didn't tell you that))
