We flew from Phuket to Vietnam, on one of the suitcases they stuck a security checked tag. So the suitcase was opened?

Yes, that's right. It's also common to put a piece of paper inside that they checked your luggage inside.

That happens a lot. Perhaps something on the scanner was seen suspicious and they needed to check. This is a common practice. In Mexico, at the border, my suitcase was checked so thoroughly, but the tag was not pasted. And you have what service - a tag)
